Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing the joy of music with children and families in Ft. Myers and all of Lee County, Florida!
All teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.
Kim Setser brings her own varied experience into her classroom. As a former nanny for many years, Kim knows what it's like to make up songs in the car, dance around the kitchen and surround children with basic musical concepts. She is also a former occupational therapist for children with autism, working with various programs that included musical and sensory therapies.
Originally from Kansas, Kim got her musical education at Wichita State University. She represented her home state in the Miss America Program as Miss Kansas 2001. During her year of service she traveled over 40,000 miles speaking and performing in schools K-12. Since then she has performed professionally in music theater productions across the country.
Kim is married to Rick Setser, the Worship Pastor for Crosspoint Church in Cape Coral, and they have 2 young children, Lennon and Elliott. At Crosspoint Church, she sings on the worship team and volunteers with the youth group.
Kim completed her training in September 2011 to become a registered teacher for Music Together.

I came to Music Time with many years of early childhood and music experience. I have always enjoyed working with children and families as you can see from my past experiences!
I taught preschool at 1st United Methodist Preschool for five years and then worked as the Director of McGregor Baptist Preschool for six years. I also enjoyed leading the music program for 3, 4, and 5 years olds at 1st United Methodist Preschool and Briarcliff Baptist Preschool for three years. I then started a piano studio and taught piano privately for nine years! I was also the pianist at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church on DeLeon St. for 6 years. My biggest passion by far, though, is teaching the Music Together classes!
I have been a registered teacher for Music Together since August 2006. Additionally, in July 2008 I was awarded Certification Level 1 from the Center for Music and Young Children, in Princeton, NJ having demonstrated outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy and parent education. I also completed Certification Level 2 in 2013.
I absolutely love sharing this incredible music program with families all over Lee County! I love how this program impacts grandparents, parents, and children and brings them together in a way nothing else can! It literally changes lives!

I started out as a parent just like you in a class that I absolutely loved! Learning about this awesome way to connect with my baby, while wiring her brain with so much more than just music was something I am still so thankful for.
Being able to share this gift I was given with other parents to add to their parenting toolbox is so special to me! I am not a music major, just a mom who grew up in a family that loves to sing. As far back as I can remember, I've always loved working with little ones. From babysitting to assistant teaching in an infant and toddler classroom, I have really learned a lot about this age group in particular. This job is the best of both worlds, as I get to be around little ones while connecting with the grownups that love them!

Kate Jenkins is a longtime lover of music, and the mom of two wonderful children. She spent much of her young life involved in various musical activities, including choirs and musical theater programs. She originally became involved in Music Together as a parent, and participated in many semesters before the opportunity to become a teacher presented itself. She was quick to embrace the chance to share this gift with others, as she had seen the endless positive effects of Family Music Time within her own household. She brings to class, not only a technical understanding of music, but a love of working with children and finding fun ways of integrating it in and outside of the classroom.
Erin is an upstate New York native who has always kept music close to her heart. She can remember family nights of singing and dancing as a young girl. A hair brush was frequently a microphone on those nights. Throughout her childhood and even into the college years, Erin enjoyed being a part of her school's choirs and musical theater productions. She has since been living in SWFL, after receiving a bachelors in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary College and starting her career locally as an RN in the ICU in 2009.
While working as an orthopedic OR nurse she met and married musician, accountant, and local native, Brett and his two children Ryder and Camryn. Her husband's love of playing music fits perfectly with the love they both have for live music, it's usually what you can find them indulging in on a date night. Her family added a third child and she has since spent her days as a stay-at-home mom.
Music Together was suggested by friends and family while she was looking for opportunities to enrich her time with a newborn outside of the house. She was amazed and instantly in love with the program, but most of all, loved being able to watch the joy and development of each child as the classes continued.
When a teaching opportunity came about, Erin already knew the benefits of the program and was excited to join the team at Family Music Time and share her excitement for music and child development with new families. You can find Erin spending the most fun hours of her weeks teaching a class or still attending a class with her son Hudson.
Erin has taken Music Together with her son for 2 years. She took the MT Teacher training in January 2018 and will be teaching on Mondays at Four Freedoms Park starting in the Spring semester 2018.
Fiorella Forgey - Canta y Baila Teacher
I was born and raised in Lima - Peru. A beautiful country with lots of history, amazing traditional music and great food. During my time at school, I always participated in band, learning different instruments, but my favorite always was and still is percussion. My passion for teaching started earlier in life, and my love for little ones made it easier to know what I wanted to be. Becoming a teacher has been rewarding in so many ways, but the best part was the impact the families and their children left on me and vice versa. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and M.Ed., Major in Learning Disabilities. I taught preschool and kindergarten in Lima for 7 years. After moving to the United States, I worked for Early Steps in Fort Myers for a couple of years. Now I have become a mom of a wonderful little baby girl, and because of her, I found the Music Together program. We fell in love with it at the demo class and signed up the same day. My love for music and the support from LouAnne lead me to successfully complete the “Canta y Baila Conmigo®” training in Tampa 2019.
I’m excited and grateful to become part of “Family Music Time Studio” and to start teaching in Spanish beautiful songs with lots of latin rhythms in a guided immersion environment.
Natalie was born in New Jersey and raised in Southwest Florida. She has had a passion for music and dance since a very young age. With 15+ years in ballet and piano, she is now studying Vocal Education at Florida Gulf Coast University. She currently enjoys performing in local theaters, teaching dance, voice & piano, and leading worship for a campus ministry at her school. Thanks to her professor who introduced her to the Music Together Program, she has found her passion in Early Childhood Development in Music and is thrilled to be teaching with Family Music Time!
